This series ended up with a very different outcome. It was not a good weather shooting kind of day. Bright sun, too much contrast, flat landscape, windy, etc. I didn’t even bother dragging out the Nikon. So after one last restroom stop, I thought I’d give it a shot.

So I whipped out my trusty phone/camera. I treat that camera the same way I used to treat a Kodak Instamatic. You can’t really see anything on the screen in bright sunlight. So I just point it at something and hope for the best.

I heard the shutter slowing down, so I thought I might get some blurred images. So I began moving the phone around.

Surprise! Textures always look better in black and white.
